Ranchi, Aug. 14 -- The Jharkhand Agriculture Directorate has warned wholesale and retail fertiliser sellers of strict action if found overpricing or mislabeling non-subsidised fertilisers.
Following complaints received last month about the tagging of non-subsidised fertilisers with urea
and sales above the fixed rate, Agriculture Minister Neha Shilpi Tirkey directed Agriculture Director Bhor Singh Yadav to launch a statewide inspection drive.
All district agriculture officers have been instructed to check fertiliser stocks, quality, compliance with standards, and sale prices under a special campaign.
