Ranchi, Dec. 22 -- Jharkhand registered a historic achievement in national-level school sports as the 69th National School Football Championship (SGFI) for Under-14 and Under-17 girls concluded on Monday at the BIT Mesra Sports Complex.

Hosted by the Jharkhand Education Project Council under the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Jharkhand, the five-day tournament was held from December 18 to 22.

The championship witnessed Jharkhand emerging as champion in the Under-17 girls' category, while finishing runner-up in the Under-14 girls' category, marking one of the state's best-ever performances at the national school level.
