Ranchi/Palamu, April 18 -- Jharkhand Police has intensified operations against a Maoist zonal commander active in the Jharkhand-Bihar-Chhattisgarh corridor, officials said on Saturday.
The commander, identified as Manohar Ganjhu alias Sohan Ganjhu, carries a reward of Rs 10 lakh and is currently active in the border areas of Chatra, Palamu and Latehar districts.
Police said Ganjhu, a resident of Nagartola under Balumath police station in Latehar, is among the remaining senior Maoist leaders in the corridor. He is reportedly armed and involved in coordinating activities across the tri-state region.
