Ranchi, Sept. 27 -- The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has cancelled the ongoing recruitment process for constable posts and announced that selection will be conducted afresh under the new Joint Recruitment Rules-2025.
The earlier process was intended to fill 4,919 vacancies, which included 3,799 regular posts and 1,120 backlog posts. The recruitment was annulled as the examination had not yet commenced at any stage.
The decision withdraws Advertisement No. 17/2023 for the Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination-2023 with immediate effect. Thousands of candidates had applied online between January 15 and February 28, 2024.
