Ranchi, March 6 -- The state-level launch of "Umang Diwas", aimed at promoting adolescent health awareness, was held at Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Jamchua under Namkum block on Friday under the National Adolescent Health Programme (RKSK) and School Health and Wellness Programme with support from UNICEF.

The programme was inaugurated by Shashi Prakash Jha, Campaign Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand.

"Umang Diwas" is a monthly participatory platform for adolescents aged 10-19 years, aimed at providing them with accurate health information, counselling and access to essential health services.
