Ranchi, March 7 -- Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Saturday announced a proposal to provide improved medical facilities to ministers, MLAs, former MLAs and their family members in the state.

He said the public representatives would receive healthcare facilities similar to those provided to IAS and IPS officers.

Ansari said the decision has been taken with the guidance and consent of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

According to the minister, a draft of the new rules has already been prepared and will soon be placed before the state cabinet for approval.

Once implemented, ministers, legislators and former legislators will be able to access improved medical treatment and reimbursement of medical expenses.
