Ranchi, Sept. 19 -- In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening law and order in the state, the Jharkhand government has transferred 30 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
As part of the reshuffle, Anurag Gupta, currently serving a s the Director General of Police (DGP), has been relieved of the additional charge of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Rakesh Ranjan, Superintendent of Police (SP) of West Singhbhum (Chaibasa), has been appointed as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ranchi.
The post of West Singhbhum SP will now be held by Amit Renu. Ranchi's outgoing SSP, Chandan Kumar Sinha, has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of ACB.
