Ranchi, July 8 -- Taking serious note of the incident in Bihar's Purnia, where five members of a tribal family were allegedly burnt alive, the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee has constituted a five-member fact-finding team.

The team, headed by working president Bandhu Tirkey, left for Purnia on this afternoon. It will visit the site of the incident, meet the affected family, and submit a detailed report to the party leadership.

Jharkhand Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh condemned the incident as an inhuman and brutal act, demanding strict action against the culprits.

The party's move reflects growing concern over the safety and rights of tribal communities in the region.
