Ranchi, April 12 -- The Indian National Congress has assigned key organisational roles to two Jharkhand leaders for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.
Party spokesperson Riaz Ansari said a state control room has been set up by the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee to manage campaign operations for the 2026 Assembly polls.
He said Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Rishikesh Singh and Jharkhand Youth Congress legal cell chairman Amrit Singh have been appointed as state election coordinators in charge of the control room.
According to Ansari, the appointments were made by West Bengal Congress president Subhankar Sarkar on the recommendation of state in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir through an official order.
