Ranchi, Dec. 25 -- Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with MLA Kalpana Soren, on Thursday paid heartfelt tribute to Jharkhand movement's leading leader Nirmal Mahato on his birth anniversary.
The tribute was offered by garlanding his statue at Jail Mor, here, where the Chief Minister also bowed in respect.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said the day holds special significance as it marks the 75th birth anniversary of Amar Veer Shaheed Nirmal Mahato, who dedicated his life to the struggle for the rights of tribal and indigenous people of Jharkhand.
He said that, like every year, people across the state are remembering and paying homage to the legendary leader.
