Ranchi, Nov. 19 -- Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar on Tuesday directed all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Deputy Election Officers to expedite the lineage mapping process of the current electoral roll with the 2003 voter list. He emphasised that this work must be given top priority to ensure its timely completion.

During a review meeting held at the Nirvachan Sadan with officials from all districts, the CEO said that several Assembly constituencies have already achieved up to 70 percent progress in lineage mapping.

However, he pointed out that constituencies where progress remains low must accelerate efforts by conducting dedicated voter outreach programmes to improve mapping coverage.
