Ranchi, Aug. 16 -- The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today observed the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, recalling his contributions as a statesman, poet, and nation-builder.
Floral tributes were offered at Vajpayee's statue on the Assembly premises and at his portrait at the party headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, State BJP president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi described Vajpayee as a "true son of Maa Bharati and a towering personality who continues to live in the hearts of Jharkhand's people."
