Ranchi, Sept. 9 -- The Jharkhand Biodiversity Board organised a programme at Palash Bhavan, Doranda, with the central aim of strengthening awareness and action toward biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

The initiative highlighted the urgent need to restore balance between human activities and nature, which has become increasingly fragile due to rapid industrialisation, deforestation, pollution, and the over-exploitation of natural resources.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Sanjeev Kumar, emphasised that the conservation of medicinal plants through the development of herbal gardens, documentation of their medicinal values, and preservation of traditional knowledge are crucial steps in this direction.
