Ranchi, Feb. 17 -- The Jharkhand State Election Commission has issued strict directives to ensure free, fair and transparent conduct of the upcoming urban local body elections in the state.

Secretary of the Commission, Radheshyam Prasad, stated that if any government employee deployed on poll duty is found involved in booth capturing or other electoral malpractices and the charges are proven, they could face imprisonment ranging from three to five years.
