Ranchi, Dec. 15 -- Trauma centers would be established at 49 locations across the state and will be equipped with trained doctors, nurses, technicians and life-saving machines, as part of the comprehensive plan to strengthen emergency healthcare services.

The announced was made during a review meeting of the Health Department held on Monday, focusing on hospital rejuvenation and infrastructure improvement.

In addition, the helath department has set a target to establish a 10-bedded ICU in every district along with one Tele-ICU facility. The Tele-ICU services are currently operational at five locations, where patients are being examined remotely and monitored by specialists from RIMS, Ranchi.
