Hajipur, July 11 -- In a major heist, armed criminals looted jewellery worth approximately Rs 20 lakh from a shop in the Goraul police station area of Vaishali district today.
According to police, six masked criminals stormed into a jewellery shop located in Goraul Bazaar. Brandishing weapons, they held the shop owner, Arun Sah, and several customers at gunpoint and took control of the premises.
The assailants then looted gold and silver ornaments valued around Rs 20 lakh and fled the scene.
Senior police officials reached the spot upon receiving information and initiated an investigation. Raids were underway to arrest the culprits involved in the robbery.
