Cannes, May 18 -- American actress Jennifer Lawrence has spoken candidly about the emotional toll of postpartum isolation following the birth of her first child, drawing a personal connection to her latest role in "Die, My Love", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.
The 34-year-old actress, who recently welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, revealed that she had just given birth to her first child, Cy, when she was offered the film.
"I had just read my first (baby). And there's not really anything like postpartum. It's extremely isolating, which is so interesting when Lynn (Ramsay) moves this couple into Montana."
