Patna, Jan. 20 -- Bihar Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar onday said that women in rural areas are becoming economically self reliant after associating with the JEEVIKA programme.
Addressing the "Community Voices Conclave" organised by JEEVIKA at Gyan Bhawan here, the minister said that women linked with JEEVIKA have not only achieved economic empowerment but have also become increasingly aware of their rights.
He said that after joining JEEVIKA, rural women no longer face the compulsion of depending on others for their livelihood.
