Nagpur, Feb. 6 -- Adani Group Director Jeet Adani today announced that a Rs 70,000-crore integrated coal gasification and chemical project will be set up at Linga in Kalmeshwar near Nagpur, with the potential to generate around 30,000 direct employment opportunities.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the "Advantage Vidarbha 2026" industrial meet here, Adani said the project would strengthen India's self-reliance in the energy and chemicals sector and position Nagpur as a global hub for advanced chemical manufacturing and clean-energy technologies.
He said Vidarbha, owing to its geographical location and resource base, is emerging as a key centre for logistics, aviation, technology and industry.
