Patna, Oct. 15 -- Two days after the ruling National Democratic Alliance declared its seat-sharing arrangement, the Janata Dal (United) today released its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, marking the formal start of its campaign under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The announcement came amid ongoing deliberations and friction within NDA partners over seat-sharing arrangements. Despite the unresolved negotiations, the JDU moved ahead with its list, asserting confidence in its electoral preparedness.

The first list features prominent leaders including state JDU President Umesh Singh Kushwaha, Minister Vijay Chaudhary, Ratnesh Sada, and muscleman Anant Singh.
