New Delhi, March 23 -- The fourth day of the second edition of the Khelo India Para Games witnessed a landmark moment as Punjab's powerlifter Jaspreet Kaur etched her name in history by becoming the first athlete in KIPG 2025 to break a national record.
Competing in the 45 kg category, the 31-year-old lifted an astounding 101 kg to secure the gold medal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium complex on Sunday.
At the time of reporting, a total of 113 gold medals had been decided, with Tamil Nadu leading the medal tally with 22 golds. Haryana followed closely with 18 gold medals, while Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan secured 13 gold medals each.
