Belagavi, Oct. 23 -- Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi today clarified that Yathindra Siddaramaiah had referred only to an "ideological successor" of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and not a political successor.

Speaking to reporters in Kittur, Jarkiholi said that Yathindra had suggested he could lead the AHINDA groups in the state after Siddaramaiah's retirement. "He (Yathindra) has not spoken about the next Chief Minister or KPCC president. I share the liberal, progressive ideology of his father, and he feels I could be his ideological successor," Jarkiholi said.
