Washington, Dec. 31 -- Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is preparing to travel to Washington as early as February 2025 to meet with US President-elect Donald Trump after his inauguration scheduled for January 20, the Nikkei newspaper reported.
Tokyo has announced its intention to meet with the next US leader in February or later and is coordinating its actions with Trump's team, the report said on Monday.
