Doha, May 25 -- Japan's Hiroto Shinozuka and Shunsuke Togami claimed the men's doubles title at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Sunday, defeating Chinese Taipei's Kao Cheng-Jui and Lin Yun-Ju in five sets.
The Japanese duo, who advanced to the final after a walkover in the semifinals due to an injury to France's Esteban Dorr, prevailed 6-11, 11-5, 7-11, 11-6, 11-6.
Dorr and his partner, Lorian Bourrassaud, shared bronze with their French compatriots, brothers Felix and Alexis Lebrun, who also reached the semifinals.
