New Delhi/Tokyo, Aug. 27 -- With Japan's working-age population shrinking and in urgent need of skilled workers, Japan plans to accept 50,000 highly skilled personnel from India. An understanding to this effect is to be reached during the talks between PM Shigeru Ishiba and PM Narendra Modi in Tokyo on Friday.
Japan is seeking highly skilled personnel, particularly in science and engineering, which will help promote Japan's economic growth and regional revitalization, NHK reported.
The two leaders are also expected to agree to cooperate on exploration of the area around the Moon's South Pole, where water may exist.
