Janmashtami being celebrated across Karnataka
Bengaluru, Aug. 16 -- Sri Krishna Janmashtami, marking the divine appearance of Lord Sri Krishna, was celebrated with devotion and grandeur across Karnataka today, with ISKCON temples leading the festivities.
At ISKCON Hubballi-Dharwad in Rayapur, Chief Priest Rajagopalacharya gave a profound message on the spiritual significance of the festival, drawing from the Bhagavad Gita. Quoting the verse Janma Karma Cha Me Divyam, he said Lord Krishna's birth and activities are transcendental.
