Bengaluru, April 24 -- A fresh controversy has erupted in Karnataka after allegations that students appearing for the Common Entrance Test (CET) were asked to remove their sacred thread (janeu) before entering an examination hall, triggering a sharp confrontation over exam protocols versus religious sensitivities.
The incident, which reportedly took place during the CET held on April 23 at a Bengaluru examination centre, has led to the suspension of three staff members of Krupanidhi College in Madiwala, including two senior women employees, following directions from the Karnataka Congress government.
