Jammu, April 20 -- At least ten passengers were killed and many injured when a bus on its way from Ramnagar towards Udhampur this morning met with an accident and fell into a deep gorge in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police officials said that a bus ferrying passengers met with an accident when it reached near Kanote Morh in Tehsil Ramnagar of the district.
"As per initial reports, ten passengers were killed and several injured in the accident," they added.
Police, locals and army immediately swung into action and launched a rescue operation and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College, Udhampur.
