Srinagar, Feb. 5 -- Night temperatures across Kashmir remain below freezing, with the ski resort of Gulmarg emerging as the coldest place in the region, officials said on Wednesday.
The Meteorological Department said that parts of Kashmir, including Pahalgam and Kokernag in south Kashmir, as well as Kupwara in north Kashmir, received light rainfall over the past 24 hours.
There is a possibility of scattered light rain or snow on Wednesday. The weather is likely to remain partly cloudy and dry from Thursday.
MeT data said Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district shivered at -7.5degC, making it one of the coldest inhabited places in the region.
