Srinagar, Dec. 20 -- J&K Police has registered a case against a person who attempted to enter Srinagar International Airport using a forged air ticket, officials said on Saturday.
Police said during routine security checking at the airport's drop gate, a person identified as Syed Khurshid Ahmad a resident of Bugro, Khansahib Budgam was stopped for verification.
"Upon checking his air ticket, it was found to be fake. Airline staff immediately alerted the authorities after identifying the ticket as fraudulent," police said.
The accused was handed over to Police Post Humhama of Budgam Police and was subsequently arrested.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had been duped by a travel agent who allegedly forged the ticket.
