Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- A landslide struck the Larnoo-Murgon Top area of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district late last night, leaving nearly 30 vehicles stranded, officials said.

According to officials, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Rescue Team Anantnag, assisted by local police and the civil administration, launched a swift rescue operation soon after the incident.

"All passengers and drivers trapped due to the landslide were safely evacuated. There has been no report of loss of life or damage to property," an official said.

The rescue operation, which continued during the night under challenging conditions, was successfully concluded by morning.
