Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir today registered a case against two individuals for allegedly impersonating relatives of senior union ministers and duping people on the pretext of arranging government contracts.
Officials identified the accused as Kumail Ansari and Yetsen Kumar, against whom a joint complaint alleging cheating and criminal conspiracy was filed.
According to officials, the duo lured unsuspecting victims by promising lucrative contracts in NHPC and the Defence sector, projecting themselves as close relatives of top union ministers to gain trust and extract money.
The EOW confirmed that a case has been registered against the two.
