Jammu, Feb. 6 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that an International Film Festival in association the National Film Development Corporation is being organised in Jammu and Kashmir.

"We garnered Rs 2.11 crore in sponsorships and Rs 0.20 crore in registration fees, validating its economic and promotional potential," the Chief Minister said while presenting his second budget of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir in the Legislative Assembly.

"We will be organising an International Film Festival in association the National Film Development Corporation," he said.

"The festival will bring the world cinema to Jammu and Kashmir, promote cultural diversity and stimulate local economy," he added.
