Srinagar, Nov. 6 -- Baramulla has become the first district in Jammu and Kashmir to launch a dedicated safety app aimed at ensuring the security of vulnerable sections, including minorities, PM package employees, political protectees, families of terror victims, and migrant labourers working in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa hailed the initiative towards enhancing the perception of safety and trust among the residents.

"District Police Baramulla has launched a very novel initiative which is the first of its kind in the entire UT. The initiative offers a 'one-stop safety solution' through a mobile App that has already been downloaded by over 6,000 users," Sherpa said.
