Srinagar, Feb. 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for over 12 years and wanted in several cases in Sopore township of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials said.
The absconder identified as Nayeem Ahmad War, a resident of Warpora Sopore, who had been evading his arrest since 2012 was arrested by Police in Sopore, Police said.
The accused was wanted in connection with a case FIR No. 190 filed in 2012 under sections 454 and 380 of the RPC at Police Station Sopore. A warrant of arrest had been issued by the Court at Sopore against him.
He has been produced before the Court and has been lodged in judicial custody until February 25.
