Jammu, July 30 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police today destroyed 20 quintals of narcotics worth crores in Kathua district.
A police officer said a consignment of drugs weighing 20 quintals worth Rs 40 crore was destroyed at Anmol Healthcare in the Rara area of Ramgarh in Samba district.
The destroyed narcotics included capsules, ganja (opium), poppy straw, charas (cannabis), intoxicant syrups, and heroin (10.505 kg), the spokesperson added.
The destruction was carried out by a police team led by SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena with the approval of competent authorities. Additional SP Kathua, Rahul Chara and other senior officers were also present.
