Jammu, Feb. 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached properties worth lakhs in cases of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in the Gool area of Ramban district.

The police spokesman here on Friday said that in a significant move to combat terrorism, the Ramban Police have attached five properties, including agricultural land measuring 23.13 kanals, valuing Rs 7986377 under section 25 of the UAPA, 1967.

He said that the properties attached have been recorded in revenue records, and notices prohibiting their sale or transfer have been served under the UAPA.

The attachment was executed in the presence of a police team and an executive magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures.
