Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference State Women's Wing president Shameema Firdous today urged security forces to honour their commitment to vacate the Astabal ground in Chattabal, Srinagar, paving the way for its transformation into a playground and community centre.
Firdous said that in January 2025, she had announced plans to develop the ground into a modern sports facility and a marriage hall. The project, she noted, had already been approved with a budget of Rs 5 crore, including Rs 1 crore from her Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
