Jammu, Jan. 30 -- Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Rana on Thursday held detailed discussions with Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi in the national capital on wide-ranging issues affecting the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly those living along the Line of Control (LoC).
During the meeting, focused discussions were held on mitigating the adverse effects of LoC fencing on tribal livelihoods, especially in the Gujjar-Bakerwal community.
The discussions aimed at finding solutions to minimize the impact on their daily lives, especially emergency movements from and to the villages across LoC fencing.
