Srinagar, July 3 -- In a significant move to bolster healthcare services in the Union Territory, the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council has expedited the issuance of registration certificates for allopathic doctors.
Following the mandate requiring permanent registration to practice, the Council has issued 1,688 certificates in 60 days.
In the past two months alone, the Council has issued 1,688 certificates, including permanent, provisional, and other key registrations, reflecting its commitment to applicant-friendly reforms aligned with National Medical Council (NMC) regulations. The certificates were issued to doctors trained in India and countries like Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, China and Iran.
