Jammu, April 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Tuesday highlighted the critical role of agriculture, calling farms "the bedrock of civilization, the backbone of economies, and the promise of tomorrow," while warning of the growing threat posed by climate change.

Speaking at the National Summit on "Sustainable and Climate Resilient Agroecosystems: Innovations and Policy Framework" held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Sinha stressed that policies and interventions must honor the historic contribution of farmers.
