Srinagar, Aug. 5 -- National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah today expressed grief over the passing away of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik.

Malik, 79, who served as the last Governor of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state and oversaw the abrogation of Article 370, was admitted to Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday afternoon."

In his condolence message, Abdullah said, "I am deeply saddened by the demise of Satya Pal Malik Ji. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and supporters during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace."
