Srinagar, Aug. 18 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has dismissed an employee of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department from service after his alleged involvement in a narcotics case.
According to an order issued by the Jal Shakti Department, Farooq Ahmad Najar, a resident of Lurgam Tral Pulwama and serving as Orderly-cum-Chowkidar in Irrigation Division Tral, was arrested in November 2024 in case registered at Police Station Kakapora under sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act, following recovery of 6.5 grams of brown sugar.
He remained in judicial custody till December 2024.
