Srinagar, Sept. 23 -- Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today said the union Territory was being run by "two governments", one elected by the people and another "nominated which has been appointed."He said this was a big battle for the elected government.
"Two governments are running here. One government is the one that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have chosen. One government is running here which is nominated and has been appointed. However, we will not run away from our responsibility," Choudhary told reporters in Srinagar.
In J&K, the elected government functions alongside the Lieutenant Governor-led administration, a dual control system that has often triggered friction.
