Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today announced it would resume its hunger strike under the banner "Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq" (Our State, Our Right) on October 18. The campaign reiterates the party's demand for the restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

The hunger strike will commence for the remaining districts that could not observe the protest last month due to the loss of life and property caused by the natural calamity in the Chenab valley and other parts of the region.
