Srinagar, Aug. 8 -- Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Tariq Karra, will launch the party's hunger strike for the restoration of statehood in Srinagar tomorrow.
Last month Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging immediate restoration of statehood to J&K.
In J&K, the Congress has been campaigning for statehood restoration over the last one month.
Now in line with the party's decision to intensify the statehood movement, Congress J&K president Karra will personally join the hunger strike protest tomorrow along with all district presidents and district coordinators for Kashmir province, a party spokesman said.
