Srinagar, Dec. 1 -- Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district seized a huge consignment of 1 kg 130 grams of brown sugar-like substance during a routine checking operation and arrested two alleged drug peddlers.

Police termed the recovery as a major strike against the narco-terror supply chain.

Police on Monday said a vigilant naka party of Police Post Rahmoo intercepted a suspicious Tata Mobile during checks at a bridge, leading to the detention of its two occupants. The men were identified as Muneer Ahmed Shiek and Toufeeq Ahmed Shiek, both residents of Hajitra Karna Kupwara.
