Jammu, Aug. 3 -- Two persons were killed and three others suffered injuries when a car they were travelling in met with an accident and plunged into a deep gorge today on Lakhanpur-Basholi road in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police here said that a car (Punjab registration number) on its way towards Basholi plunged into the gorge at Kainta Morh in the Basantpur area of Lakhanpur-Basoli.
Two persons identified as Pawan Kumar of Circular Road, Ferozpur City, Punjab and Mohinder Pal Bajaj of Tajpur, Jeevan Nagar- Ludhiana died.
Meanwhile, the injured, namely Anil Monga, Udik Chand, Sunny Arora, and Sudheer Kumar, residents of Punjab, were shifted to GMC Kathua for treatment and were later referred to Amritsar.
