Jammu, Aug. 7 -- Two personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were killed and several others injured when a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident today in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that the vehicle carrying CRPF personnel plunged into a gorge near Kandva in the Basantgarh area.
Police and locals immediately launched the rescue operation.
"Two jawans have been killed, and many others are injured," they said, adding that a rescue operation is in progress and more details are awaited.
