Srinagar, March 9 -- Police have nabbed a motorcyclist with 13 bottles of liquor in Jammu Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Police on Sunday said that during a routine checking operation at Greehatchi, Kupwara, a motorcyclist was signalled to stop, who attempted to flee but was swiftly and tactfully apprehended by the alert police team.
Upon searching the vehicle 13 bottles of liquor were recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Akther Jann a resident of Handwara was arrested on the spot.
A case FIR No. 63/2025 has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
